Butterflies of the Soul

I don’t know much about butterflies, which seems increasingly a shame, because like so many of the creatures that live around us the evidence suggests they are under threat. At the same time, the hot dry weather we’ve lately been having seems to have done them some good. The flood plain and the surrounding hillsides beside Bidford Grange have been left to grow wild, and there is a thick mass of grasses that have grown tall and gone to seed.
